1. Sochi Olympic Village
The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia had some accommodation issues – namely, that the Olympic Village was in shambles. One of the biggest problems encountered by the athletes, media, and guests had to do with toilets.
Some were installed with no pipes, but the ones that did flush were full of muddy water. Everyone was discouraged from flushing toilet paper, as well. Privacy was especially limited in stalls where two toilets were positioned mere inches from each other.
